Need a Soundproofing Floor in Toronto Canada?

If you live in Toronto, Canada and need to add a soundproof floor to your home or business, AcoustiGuard has multiple solutions for you to choose from. Our soundproofing materials are easy DIY solutions; you just have to determine the one that best meets your needs. We have soundproofing floors that can be added to preexisting flooring, as well as soundproofing designed to be part of the original construction.

Floor-to-Floor Soundproofing Floors

If you live in a multi-story home or building, the noise of footsteps above head may be a bit of a nuisance. To help eliminate the sounds of kids playing, or high heeled shoes, and even the transfer of voices—add floor-to-floor soundproofing floors. This type of flooring is designed to be placed underneath flooring, but we have options for all types of flooring.

Freedom Step Panels

Our freedom step panels are ideal for athletic flooring. These dual purpose panels are not only designed as a soundproofing floor—but they also absorb shock. Freedom step floating subfloors are the flooring of choice for gyms, athletic centers, martial art studios, and dance schools.

Soundproofing for Acoustics

If you will be adding a home recording studio, music room, home theater, dance club, etc., then soundproofing for acoustics must be considered. Our Iso-Sep PM Privacy Mats reduce noise by an average of 80%. This solution may not be needed for every room, but will make a world of difference in rooms that have a higher than average volume.

Not sure what you need? Our flooring services are designed to address a variety of sound control solutions. If you aren’t sure which type of soundproofing floor you need, just ask. We will gladly talk you through the differences, and help you to select the best solution for your individual needs.

Does your Gym need floating floors? Here's 3 reasons why.

Floating floors and sprung floors are the flooring of choice for many dance studios, martial arts studios, gyms, and other athletic businesses. If you are considering adding a floating floor, you might be wondering what the benefits may be. Below are the top 3 reasons to add a sprung or floating floor.

Improved Performance

Sprung floors do not need to be nailed or glued to the preexisting floor, making for easy installation and removal. They are a popular flooring choice for dance studios, martial arts studios, indoor gyms, or any other indoor sport and fitness centers. The flooring creates a softer and less jarring surface, which improves both comfort and performance. It also reduces the likelihood and severity of injury. While the floor is “sprung” it is a solid, even, and smooth landing and performance surface.

Soundproofing

Athletic endeavors require jumping, leaping, and sometimes rhythmic sounds—such as tap dancing. On top of that, treadmills and other fitness machines are noisy. This noise can be quite disruptive to your neighbors, especially those who operate on the floor beneath you. This is why you need a good noise barrier system. Adding a removable sprung floor will help to absorb much of the sound, keeping you in your neighbor’s good graces. It will even help to manage your internal sound control.

Athletes and dancers train hard, so you want to do what you can to ease the stress, strain, and shock placed on their bodies. Adding a sprung floor will absorb much of the shock when landing from acrobatic and aerobic activities. This is especially important if your business has cement, laminate, tile, or other jarring floors. However, floating floors are also of benefit when added to wood floors. Even if your sport of choice requires participants to wear shock-absorbing athletic shoes, your floating floor will further lessen the shock.

Easy-to-Install Floating Floors

While gyms and fitness centers are some of our top clients, our soundproof subfloors are ideal for multipurpose spaces. Floating floors are fairly easy to install, and only require a handful of tools—a mallet or hammer, plywood, and a wood block. In order to best meet your needs, we offer two different models of Freedom-Step Sub Floor Panels—standard and pro.

Sound and Vibration Control—Not Just For Recording Studios

Don’t let your noisy neighbors or the outside disturbances keep you from living comfortably in your home! One of the things our residential clients are most surprised to learn, is that soundproofing has many residential applications—even in condos and small apartments. Below are just a few of the reasons to consider our DIY residential soundproofing products.

Soundproof for a Better Night’s Sleep

Whether you work odd hours that require you to sleep while everyone else is up and moving around, or your noisy neighbors keep you up at night—the stress of the constant noise disturbance can really take its toll. Even if you don’t require soundproofing throughout, you can soundproof your bedroom.

Increased Privacy

http://www.acoustiguard.com/With more of Ontario’s residents working from home, AcoustiGuard Sound and Vibration Control’s products are used to create a workspace that makes it possible for you to work in peace and quiet—while the rest of your household carries on as usual. However, your home office may not be the only room in your home where increased privacy is required.

Noisy Neighbors

Not all noisy neighbors mean to be loud. They may simply be going about their day without second thought, not realizing that their crying baby, high heels, loud music, or loud voice is disruptive. Instead of making waves, add a bit of soundproofing to the necessary walls and ceiling. Noisy neighbors no more!

Home Theater or Gaming Room

If you have always dreamed of having a home theater or gaming room with professional audio equipment—then soundproofing the room is must. This will ensure that sound is controlled within your home, and that you don’t become the noisy neighbor to those who live nearby. Since this project is a bit more complex, reach out to us and we will help you design your soundproofing solution.

Noise from Outdoors

If you live on a busy street, or near a busy restaurant, night club, or other bustling area—then the outdoor noise levels may be negatively impacting your quality of life. By adding soundproofing to your walls, ceilings, and flooring—you can greatly reduce the outside sound disturbance.

Noisy Neighbors? SoundProofing Your Home is the Perfect Solution

Fed up with noisy neighbors and their loud music, depriving you of solace in your haven? Sometimes you may have a tough time since this is a delicate issue and you do not want to antagonize your neighbors in any way. Don’t despair as there is a perfect solution for you which can prove to be a wonderful investment in every sense of the word for you in the long run. Sound proofing your home can offer you a permanent respite and good news as there are a number of options available these days to sound proof your home. However if you have the resources and finances to get your home professionally sound proofed, this would be the best possible option. A word of caution here – most contractors THINK they know how to soundproof walls and ceilings.  The truth is that most of them do not.  It will be necessary for you to familiarize yourself with the current soundproofing products available today.  Some of the products are sound isolation clips, damping compounds, mass loaded vinyl, sound control underlayment and acoustic insulation just to name few. Then interview potential contractors and ask them about these products.  If they don’t know about them or have not used them…they are the wrong contractor.  You can only achieve excellent acoustic insulation and vibration control with the right combination of products and a contractor that knows how to use them.  Good products in a bad or inexperienced contractors hand will still yield poor results.

It is advisable to go in for products which have been recommended by an expert in sound proofing after explaining what exactly your sound proofing needs are.

Soundproofing floor/ ceilings assemblies and walls is a very different task. Be wary of companies that tell you that this one product, mass loaded vinyl for example, is good for every soundproofing application.  It’s not. There are dozens of different products available today and they all do something a bit different.  However you bear in mind sound proofing can be done within a reasonable budget and does not necessarily have to cost the earth. In most cases soundproofing can be done on common walls between neighbors but just make sure that whoever you hire knows what they are doing.
